Georgia - Transaction Advisory Services Senior - Transaction Tax - M&A

Atlanta GA Transaction Advisory Services Senior - Transaction Tax - M&A
The candidate will serve as a member of multiple client engagement teams, participating in due diligence and structuring engagements related to transactions that private equity and strategic corporate entities pursue. Will perform due diligence projects to provide a thorough review of corporate tax returns and financials needed to evaluate and calculate potential tax exposures. Review, assess, and advise clients regarding the tax computations reflected in their financial models, and assist clients in the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the tax data in their financial projections for the transaction.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related work experience OR a Graduate degree and 1-2 years of related work experience. An accounting major is preferred OR a Master's degree in accounting, MST or J.D./LL.M. would be preferred. Certification as a CPA, Enrolled Agent or Attorney preferred. Must have 2+ years of relevant tax experience. Tax compliance experience preparing or reviewing business tax returns preferred. Must be willing and able to travel, when necessary. Double major, concentration or advanced degree in information management or information systems a plus. Advanced degree like MST, MAC or LL.M. a plus. Must have 3+ years of corporate tax or tax technology experience. Should have Big 4 or tax software firm experience or equivalent. Must have experience in ASC 740 (FAS 109), Accounting for Income Taxes and/or experience with tax provision and compliance software such as Corptax, Longview Tax, OneSource Tax Provision (formerly TaxStream), PowerTax, and Vertex. Flexibility for extensive travel is needed. Legal 3 - 5 Full-time 2012-07-13
