Maryland - Senior Tax Manager

Rockville MD Senior Tax Manager
The candidate will advise on sales, like-kind exchanges, disguised sales, debt-structuring, minimum gain issues, etc. Will provide tax guidance on client issues in partnership taxation. Build client relationships and leverages skills in the organization to deliver superior client service. Provide training and development of direct reports. Design a plan for execution of each engagement from planning to completion. Utilize technical proficiency to diagnose complex issues encountered and develop solutions on tax engagements. Perform extensive tax research, drafting of technical memoranda, surface review of tax returns. Attend and participate in industry specific forums and networking events. Serve as the resident expert for the Real Estate Industry Services Group and the firm on all current and proposed tax changes.

The candidate should have a B.S. degree in Accounting. CPA accreditation is required. Master's in Taxation or J.D. degree is a plus. Must have 7+ years of experience within a public accounting firm. Should have technical expertise in the following areas: real estate industry, subchapter K, S-Corporations, partnerships and other pass-through Legal 7 - 9 Full-time 2013-01-22

Will demonstrate a working knowledge of tax law including the ability to perform tax research. Take responsibility and follows through on assigned tasks. Communicate with internal and external clients and follow-up with appropriate individuals. Build a broad base of internal relationships for personal benefits and personal results. Train, supervise and delegate appropriate/productive work to staff.

The candidate should have B.S. degree in Accounting. CPA accreditation is preferred. Master's in Taxation or J.D. degree is a plus. Must have 2-5 years of experience within a public accounting firm. Should have strong computer skills (MS Office Suite, CaseWare, Go Tax). Legal 2 - 5 Full-time 2012-09-07

Direct and control projects to ensure completion within budget and deadline. Maintain a strong working relationship with clients to enhance client satisfaction and work with client management and staff at all levels to perform tax services. Interact with key client management to make recommendations for business and process improvements. Assist partners and senior management on proposals and business development calls.
