New York - ERISA Attorney

New York NY ERISA Attorney
The candidate will provide legal advice and consultation, focusing on a broad range of fiduciary issues under Title I of ERISA relating to company's investment products and strategies. Will also assist in coordinating projects and managing business relationships. Should have a J.D. degree with superior academic credentials from a nationally-recognized law school and 5-7 years of experience as a lawyer in a major law firm or in the legal department of a leading financial organization. Experience with application of Title I of ERISA to complex financial products is required. Experience with the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Investment Company Act of 1940, the Dodd-Frank Act and federal securities' laws is helpful. Experience in drafting and negotiating investment management agreements with pension plans and trading documentation with counterparties (derivatives, repurchase agreements) and as well as required disclosure documents is a plus. Colorado - Employee Benefits Attorney

Denver CO Employee Benefits Attorney
The candidate will assist producers and account executives in the human capital practice primarily in the Western region (providing backup nationally) to service, gain and retain clients by responding to questions and requests with timely, accurate and pertinent information. Responsibilities will include drafting form documents to assist clients in meeting their employee welfare objectives and obligations and reviewing existing documents for compliance and other related issues. As part of the regional resource, responsibilities will also include conducting seminars and presentations, visiting clients, and attending trade shows and conferences to represent human capital and national legal and research practices. Additional duties include: preparing news bulletins for field offices and clients about regulatory, political and industry events that affect employee benefits plans; preparing and reviewing other documents related to tax, labor, ERISA and employment law issues; and informing staff and clients of those as needed. Support, assist and mentor junior staff members within the department.

The candidate should have a J.D. degree in employee benefits related discipline. Should be a member in good standing of any state Bar association. Must have 6+ years of experience in private practice of law, as part of a corporate legal team, or in a consulting or corporate employee benefits setting. Should have expert knowledge of laws, codes, regulations and other relevant authority pertaining to Employee Benefit plans. Knowledge of media communication and dissemination techniques preferred.

Note: The position will require a minimum travel requirement of up to 65% of the time. Legal 6 - 8 Full-time 2012-10-15
