Senior Corporate Counsel; Executive Director, Legal Operations & Integration

Atlanta GA Senior Corporate Counsel; Executive Director, Legal Operations & Integration The candidate assists the Chief Legal Officer in providing coordination, direction and oversight of the Legal Department. In coordination with the Chief Legal Officer, the Senior Corporate Counsel; Executive Director, Legal Operations & Integration is responsible for operational management of the department, including identifying system legal services needs and deploying internal and external resources to meet those needs. Responsible for supervising select legal staff in the department. Responsible for advising all levels of management on system-wide legal issues, including transactions, policies and initiatives.

A Juris-Doctorate from an accredited law school is required. should have 10 years of professional legal experience, including experience as an in-house counsel in the healthcare industry. Previous leadership/management experience required, including experience supervising legal support staff is needed. Admission to state Bar required; Georgia state bar preferred. Litigation experience preferred. Experience as an in-counsel in an integrated healthcare system preferred. Experience in implementing document management processes and other legal support tools using integrated technology preferred. Advises regarding marketing and sales activities, including review of marketing collateral and other content. The candidate must have top academic credentials, including four-year college or university degree and Juris Doctor or equivalent from accredited law school. Must have member in good standing of a state bar (preferably Georgia). Should be motivated self-starter with the ability to work as part of a collaborative team of seasoned attorneys and professionals. Must be highly developed written and oral communication skills, with special emphasis on excellent drafting, negotiation skills, and exceptional attention to detail. Strongly prefer 8+ years related experience, including both large law firm and in-house experience as a practicing attorney.
