Hughes Hubbard Adds Partners in New York, D.C.

By victor | Dated: 07-29-2010

Hughes Hubbard elected two partners to its New York office and added a lateral from Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy to its Washington D.C. office.

Elevated to partner in New York were Walter Egbert and Lisa Chiarini. Both intellectual property lawyers joined the firm as counsel in July 2009 from Baker Botts.

According to a press release from the firm, Egbert and Chiarini are experienced in representing pharmaceutical and medical device companies. They work with these clients to enhance their strategic market position through the use of patent portfolio development, competitive monitoring and patent litigation.

In D.C., Hughes Hubbard added aviation finance lawyer Steven Chung from Milbank. Chung, who practiced at his previous firm for 11 years, is experienced in a wide variety of aircraft and other structured-equipment financings.

This year’s edition of Chambers USA ranked Hughes Hubbard’s aviation practice as one of the best in the United States.
