Katy Perry Has One Song She Hopes Daisy Won’t Copy

By Ma Fatima | Dated: 09-04-2026

Katy Perry has revealed the one song she hopes her 6-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, will not copy when she grows up.

The pop star recently shared a funny moment about her music. Daisy has started singing some of her mother’s songs. However, one song sparked an unexpected conversation.

Katy Perry Reacts to Daisy’s Song Inspiration

Perry said Daisy repeated lyrics from “The One That Got Away.” The song appeared on Perry’s 2010 album Teenage Dream.

The song includes lyrics about rebellious behavior. They mention stealing alcohol and climbing onto a roof.

Daisy apparently told her mother that she wanted to do something similar when she was older.

Perry quickly stepped in.

The singer jokingly told Daisy, “No you ain’t, girl!” She also reminded her daughter that their roof was too high.

The moment gave Perry a funny reminder about raising a child while having a huge music catalog.

Daisy Has a Fearless Personality

Perry has described Daisy as a confident and fearless child.

The singer has also said Daisy shares traits with both of her parents. Daisy’s father is actor Orlando Bloom.

Meanwhile, Daisy has spent time with Perry during her music career. She has joined her mother around the singer’s Lifetimes tour.

Perry has also spoken about how much motherhood means to her. At the same time, she continues to build her career in music.

Perry Wants to Be a Good Example

Perry wants Daisy to grow up with confidence and strong values.

The singer has said she hopes to show her daughter the importance of being herself. She also wants Daisy to see the value of strength and intelligence.

Therefore, Daisy’s reaction to one of Perry’s songs created a lighthearted parenting moment.

Children can hear song lyrics without fully understanding their meaning. As a result, parents may need to explain that music does not always offer real-life advice.

For Perry, that lesson now applies to her own songs.

Perry Balances Motherhood and Music

Perry continues to perform while raising Daisy. Her Lifetimes tour has also allowed her daughter to experience life on the road.

However, the latest story shows a more personal side of the singer’s life.

Perry may be proud of her music. Still, she does not want Daisy to follow every lyric as she gets older.

For now, the singer appears happy to let her daughter enjoy the music. She just hopes Daisy knows that some songs are better left as songs.
