Professional Affairs Specialist The candidate will be responsible for reviewing, managing and processing documents required for company s needs assessment processes relating to activities funded by the Division. Activities that require needs assessment review included to, Design Meetings, Medical Education Programmes, User Groups and Visiting Surgeon Programs. Will work closely with the SBU Marketing Managers, Professional Education and R&D staff from their assigned SBU or geographical area to define the activities and HCPs required to meet the SBU s Strategic Objectives. Together with their Marketing partners, they will own the contract management process for assigned HCPs and finalize the negotiation of agreements and orient service providers with their obligations, policies and procedures associated with their agreement. Partners with Marketing, Professional Education, Product Development and Research and Innovation to develop and review the annual Needs Assessment. Manages HCPs and their arrangements and payments, including the review of payment documentation for accuracy. Represents Professional Affairs as the first line of compliance at company events which utilize HCPs, witness consulting services, provides customer service to all departments interacting with HCPs and generates reports/presentations related to those events for review by senior management. Develops the documentation required to initiate HCP agreements. Performs all duties in compliance with the defined Professional Affairs and Office of Compliance and Ethics policies and procedures as well as the company Code of Conduct and Business Principles. Is required to exemplify a mastery of the requirements for preparation of HCP contracts, including to working with Corporate Sponsors to provide substantial justification for the selection of an HCP, defining Tier/Band level in accordance with the defined profiles in the Professional Affairs Policies, obtaining Consultant CVs, and preparation of work plan. Provide guidance and direction to compliance contacts regarding contractual and associated matters. Conducts orientation (training) with new and existing HCPs to familiarize them with processes and documentation requirements including contract terms and considerations, and other deliverables. Serves as first line of contact for conflict resolution with HCPs respective of strategic initiatives including compensation, compliance, and non-project issues. Involvement in ad hoc Professional Affairs projects as requested by the Professional Affairs Manager.

The candidate should have Bachelor's Degree, preferably in business or marketing or related areas. Advanced degree or Masters of Business Administration is beneficial. Should have 5 years experience in Contracting, Marketing or Professional Affairs in the Medical or related Industry; or 3 years experience in Contracting, Marketing or Professional Affairs in the Medical or related Industry along with a law degree. Must have proven ability to develop and write strategic business plans. Preferred to have clinical knowledge of Orthopaedics. Should have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have experience in managing multiple responsibilities at once. Should have proven Project management skills.
