Compliance Counsel

Compliance Counsel The candidate will assist in the implementation and assessment of company's Compliance Programs, including AML, Ethics, FCPA and Investigations. Will support compliance with the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics by providing advice to employees and business units and performing investigations on allegations of Code violations. Work with internal operations compliance teammates for AML/Sanctions matters and external regulators for AML testing, examinations, reviews, documentation and issue response. Update procedures to enhance compliance governance. Coordinate with product counsel to structure eBay products with support for compliance by design. Create, design and deliver compliance training to internal populations. Keep abreast of regulatory changes and provide advice on policy and product changes.

The candidate should have a J.D. degree. Must have 6+ years of post-graduate work experience with 4+ years of direct work experience in: AML and Sanctions regulatory analysis; FCPA and other compliance related laws and regulations; control framework development; analyzing business processes for compliance with required procedures or control frameworks (e.g. gapp); and managing audit remediation and process improvement projects. Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification preferred. Experience in producing and/or designing metrics reporting is desired. Experience in Consulting/Advisory or Legal fields is a plus.
