Senior Corporate Counsel, Healthcare Duties: Compass Group, the world s largest contract foodservice company, has a Great Opportunity for career development and growth within its Legal Department here at its U.S. headquarters in Charlotte, NC. Provide legal support in handling client contracts and related matters for the Compass Group healthcare sector. Play a strategic role in helping the company balance commercial and contractual goals with legal and risk factors. Responsible for handling a variety of transactional and contractual matters for the Compass Group healthcare sector. Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of agreements including agreements with foodservice and support services client contracts. Developing or improving policies and procedures related to contracting. Providing advice on laws, regulations legal trends, and corporate protocol related to healthcare. Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating other matters as may be required.

Qualifications: JD Degree from an ABA accredited law school with accompanying state licensure preferred; Experience of 7+ years' is preferred. Expertise in deal negotiation and analysis, advising senior executives, and communication. A strong sense of partnership and a commercial viewpoint are key. Foundational knowledge of complex contracts and transactions. Proven ability and successes in the following: proactively seeking and executing creative solutions, providing strong customer service, effectively partnering and communicating with clients and managing other legal professionals. Ability to read, analyze and interpret laws, rules and regulations, legal documents, and financial and other reports, with expertise in the principles, practices, laws and regulations associated with healthcare industry. Ability to anticipate, recognize and define problems from both a legal and overall corporate perspective, collect data, establish facts, and draw logical and valid conclusions based on sound legal and business judgment. Excellent writing, research, technical, communication, organizational, data analysis and decision-making skills. Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills required. Team player in a fast paced, high volume and constantly changing environment.
