Regulatory and Compliance Counsel Reporting to the Associate General Counsel (AGC), the candidate will oversee all regulatory and compliance initiatives, including employee education. Serve as the Company s Compliance Officer and assist with other ad hoc legal matters for a healthcare and pharmaceutical benefits technology company. Serve as the evaluator and key decision-maker of all issues and concerns related to regulatory compliance and contract obligations for the Company. Review existing policies and procedures, identifying gaps and making enhancements where needed to mitigate identified risks. Contract review of NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, BAAs, PBM Agreements, and other documents to ensure regulatory compliance. Proactively make recommendations on developing and assessing corporate compliance programs, training, adherence and effectiveness. Integrate compliance controls into the scope of existing company-wide business practices for all internal organizations, including without limitation, Security, Legal, HR, Engineering, Product and Sales. Develop, maintain and review policies/procedures/workflow for general operations and implementation of compliance initiatives. Develop, maintain and update reporting and escalation procedure and workflow for compliance issues to be routed through the appropriate channels for investigation. Act as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance issues/concerns within the organization are being investigated and resolved. Work with Dev/Security team to develop automated solutions that will enhance the compliance infrastructure, including the creation of spec documents. Manage certification processes for both internal initiatives and external vendors. JD from ABA accredited law school; current and active New York State Bar license in good standing required. 4+ years of relevant work experience; combination of law firm and in-house experience preferred. Significant experience, understanding and counseling experience on HIPAA, Consumer Privacy Regulations and Drug Manufacturer Couponing required. Strong understanding and experience with industry regulatory and compliance requirements applicable to healthcare, pharmacy, drug manufacturer and technology companies required. Strong: verbal and written communication skills; analytical and investigative skills; project management skills to implement and ensure execution of compliance initiatives required. Experience with security and compliance in cloud environments required. Ability to speak technically with software development and IT administrators required. Technical skills to manage and write development tickets for compliance and security program implementation initiatives and hands on experience with at least one compliance or security framework such as SOC 2, HITRUST, or ISO 27001 required.
