Corporate Counsel The candidate will be drafting contracts with customers, contractors and other transportation companies. Will be handling corporate legal work for the holding company and its six subsidiaries. Will be working with the subsidiaries, outside counsel and the companies' insurers on pending and active claims. Will be monitoring ongoing litigation. Will be working with the subsidiaries and Chief Safety Officer on regulatory compliance matters. Will be working with the subsidiaries, Human Resources Director and outside counsel on employment matters. Will extensive contact with subsidiary officers and managers; outside counsel; opposing counsel; customers; and contractors.

The candidate should have 1-3 years of commercial, corporate and/or employment law experience. Should have excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills. Should have ability to manage multiple projects at once and to follow through and meet deadlines. Should have strong organization skills, attention to detail and proactive approach. Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should have strong analytic ability identify issues and develop innovative solutions and strategies to reach satisfactory resolution. Should be mature judgment on relevant matters of business and law. Should have ability to work with all levels of management and staff and work cooperatively as a team player
