Senior Counsel-Privacy and Technology The candidate will support Company s various commercial business units and corporate functions to provide practical advice relating to collection use and processing of personal information in connection with strategic and other business deals globally. Will review draft and negotiate privacy and data protection terms in agreements with customers and vendors. Analyze existing and developing products and solutions, including traditional market research panels and innovative products involving emerging technologies to ensure compliance with applicable privacy and data protection laws, self-regulatory codes (e.g. DAA, NAI), and other legal requirements. Proactively support company s GDPR readiness initiative. Identify business requirements resulting from new and evolving privacy laws and regulations. Counsel on notification and other obligations in connection with security/privacy incidents and incident response programs. Draft privacy notices for websites, panels, mobile apps, surveys, and other products and services. Collaborate with Legal, Security, IT, Communications, HR, Government/External Affairs and other departments on enterprise-wide privacy matters and initiatives.

The candidate should have JD Degree. Must have Bar admission in good standing. Must be Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) accreditation preferred. Should have3-5years of privacy and data protection-related legal experience In-House with a global company. Deep knowledge of US and global data protection laws and regulations are needed. Experience with advertising / digital technology desired. Experience reviewing and negotiating technology and data license agreements a plus. Ability to identify, prioritize and resolve issues quickly and effectively is essential. Sound judgment, excellent problem-solving skills and flexibility to manage multiple matters simultaneously and to work independently are required.
