Contracts Attorney The candidate will work in partnership with the President, CFO, and Project Management staff in evaluating contract and RFP (Request for Proposal) language for compliance with company terms, procedures, and policies. Draft and propose amendment language in response that is reflective of the company s legal position. Participate in client discussions regarding proposed amendments will occur as well as the potential of contract negotiations of said terms. Also work closely with the company s Subcontracts Administrator to manage flow down provisions from client contracts. Periodic review and updates to the company s subcontract language and review of other company legal documents will be a part of the position requirements. Lead the contracts team in creation and maintenance of a legal handbook to govern best language practices. Responsible for the routing, maintenance, and completeness of contract files in hard copy and electronic formats. Previous: background in drafting legal contracts required; Construction experience preferred, Construction Contractor experience given high preference. Experience in drafting and negotiating contract language required. Ability: to maintain a high degree of integrity and confidentiality; to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment; to perform tasks within specific time frames and deadlines required. Strong organizational skills and aptitude for detail required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Intermediate skills in using MS Windows and Office (e.g. Word, Excel) required. 2+ years of relevant experience required.
