Senior Privacy and Data Protection Counsel The candidate will lead all aspects of our worldwide privacy and data protection strategies to put first and move our business forward. Advise senior management, product, advertising, engineering and other business teams on critical privacy issues and data protection rules in the U.S., Europe and beyond, privacy and data protection-related provisions of advertising deals, business partnerships, and complex commercial contracts. Develop, implement and maintain internal and external privacy policies, disclosures and consents for compliance, accuracy, and clarity. Build and develop systems and processes to support a scalable privacy and data protection program. Manage compliance with all applicable privacy and data protection laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation. Assist in security incident responses and internal investigations. Collaborate with public policy team to monitor privacy and data-protection related developments and coordinate communications with regulators as necessary. Must have JD degree with 5-10 years of experience handling privacy and data protection issues in a demanding and innovative legal environment. Should be world-class expertise in privacy and data protection laws and regulations in the U.S., Europe and beyond, including Privacy Shield and GDPR. Must track record of developing practical solutions to novel problems, as well as identifying, prioritizing, and resolving issues quickly and independently. Exceptional project management and communication skills are needed. Flexibility to travel as required.
