Education Counsel The candidate will set up educational programs, working closely with firm's employees and educators to develop a unique and ambitious modern curriculum in line with the firm's brand values. Will handle emerging operational and administrative challenges independently. Stay on top of developments in the field of education and serve as in-house source of information for stakeholders. Develop and implement school-related policies and procedures. Complete applications for licenses from regulatory authorities, establishing regulatory checklists and monitoring their compliance. Assist the development of firm's educational and business strategy. Develop and track objectives to ensure programs are rolled out on time. Develop relationships with a range of stakeholders, including internal staff, external counsel, educators, and regulators. Work with the communications team to formulate internal messages and external press releases. Create innovative partnerships to bring the firm's business model and culture to education.

The candidate should have JD degree and excellent academic credentials required with the ability to demonstrate a strong interest and passion in education law. Must be admitted to the NY State Bar. Must have 4+ years of relevant top-tier firm or in-house experience. Ideally have extensive experience with private schools, including elementary, middle, and high school organizations. Experience navigating the operational and regulatory hurdles involved in establishing and running schools is a must. Mixed experience with for-profit and non-profit educational organizations a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and experiences is required. Familiarity with insurance requirements is required. Familiarity with both private for-profit and not-for-profit models a strong plus.
