Senior Commercial Real Estate Attorney The candidate will draft and negotiate major leases. Represent the Company in purchases and sales of commercial properties. Represent the Company, as borrower, in financing transactions. Draft routine commercial leases and amendments. Prosecute simple evictions and other commercial litigation. Defend municipal code litigation. Interpret leases and contracts. Supervise outside collection agents and attorneys. Advise General Counsel of the Company. License to practice law in the State and 7+ years of strong commercial real estate experience is required. Substantial experience: in drafting and negotiating commercial leases; in closing purchases, sales and financing transactions relative to commercial properties required. Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills required. Computer competence required. Cook County Circuit Court litigation experience a plus.
