Attorney Privacy The candidate will provide legal advice on US and international privacy and security issues. Will be accountable for a basic understanding of: HIPAA, GLBA, FCRA, FACTA, CAN-SPAM, state privacy laws, state breach laws and international laws. Advises on issues such as: information incidents, cross sell initiatives, use of data, and cross border data transfers. Assist the Chief Privacy Officer in creating the company s Privacy Governance Program. Provide legal advice on US privacy and security issues. Participate in developing the company s Privacy Governance Program. Draft and update privacy policies to ensure the company s compliance with the laws. Train employees on privacy issues. Perform environmental scans to ensure the company is aware of emerging privacy issues and trends, assess the affect on the company and recommend what actions the company should take to address the issues. Provide legal advice on information incidents. Negotiate Business Associate Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements and privacy provisions of Master Services Agreements. Identify, raise and, when appropriate, resolve privacy issues throughout the company. Help create a culture of privacy compliance throughout the organization by: contributing ideas to privacy awareness campaigns; assisting with the re-drafting of the company s privacy training and updates thereafter; participating in education events; etc.

The candidate must have JD degree. Should have 5+ years of experience in law firm, corporate legal department or compliance role, privacy background preferred. Must have exceptional track record of project management, strong partnership and collaboration, influential leadership, and process management. Should have strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated good judgment and willingness to take on any project. Must have strong experience in measuring and analyzing process as well as results, to identify opportunities for improvement. Should have strong ability to maneuver through business barriers to drive initiatives throughout the enterprise. Must understand the law and how it relates to all businesses, and provide solution based advice. Strong analytical skills are a must. Must effectively develop and manage relationships with business clients.
