Employment Law Staff Counsel/Practice Administrator The candidate will advise and counsel HR, management, and other clients on a range of labor and employment matters while escalating complex or high-risk matters to senior lawyers. Will develop processes to handle and coordinate legal claims, administrative charges, and other employment disputes. Will coordinate with the employment law team and manage the employment law team s calendar to ensure timely responses to all matters. Will manage the processing of agreements drafted by the employment law team. Will liaise with outside counsel and law firm personnel for billing matters, resolve billing issues, and ensure timely payment of amounts due. Will manage legal hold process. Will develop and maintain organized electronic and paper filing system. Will assist senior lawyers, outside counsel and paraprofessional staff with discovery, motion practice, and other matters relating to litigation or administrative actions. Will provide primary support for paraprofessional staff for recurrent employee matters such as garnishments, personnel record subpoenas, and requests for employee information. Will build and maintain strong relationships with other members of the legal team, the human resources team, and other teams to support employment law compliance
The candidate should be License to practice in one or more U.S. jurisdictions. Should have substantive knowledge of US federal employment law, and the employment laws of multiple state jurisdictions; Employment litigation experience in all pre-trial stages. Should have outstanding organization skills. Should have excellent attention to detail; Client oriented with a demonstrated ability to influence and build relationships. Should be team player who can share and support team s and client's vision, values, and goals. Should be effective communication skills, good judgment, and team-oriented. Should have a positive attitude, sense of humor, confident and independent.
