General Counsel - VP, Govt Investigations and Regulatory Enforcement Litigation The candidate will be represent firm before government agencies, regulators and SROs in connection with investigations and inquiries. Will work closely with line-of-business legal and compliance personnel on government investigations and regulatory matters. Draft correspondence and submissions, and interact with staff members. Advise regarding legal issues relating to investigations and inquiries. Conduct internal reviews and investigations. Assist with internal and regulatory audits. Participate in periodic compliance training. Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills are needed. Strong oral and written communication skills are needed. In-depth experience with regulatory issues are essential. Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels is needed. JD degree and strong academic credentials is needed. Must be barred in NY. Should have 5+ years of relevant firm, in-house and/or government experience. Attorney must be licensed to practice law and a member in good standing in the state/jurisdiction in which the position is based or otherwise in compliance with the in-house counsel registration rules of that state/jurisdiction is essential. Must have 5+ years of experience practicing law post-JD. Legal experience working for government agencies, regulators and/or SROs in connection with investigations and inquiries combined with either in-house or law firm experience with government and regulatory enforcement investigations is a plus.
