Senior Counsel, Procurement And Real Estate

Senior Counsel, Procurement and Real Estate The candidate, reporting to the Associate General Counsel Global M&A & Corporate, will have broad commercial experience, including experience with outsourcing, information technology, software as a service, software licensing, professional service and goods agreements, real estate transactions and other commercial contracting matters. Will focus on procurement, commercial contracting and corporate real estate matters and support the Group in a broad array of global corporate law initiatives. Will interact directly with internal senior level procurement, real estate and business colleagues from around the world. Will primarily be responsible for legal matters in connection with the negotiation of key supplier contracts, real estate lease transactions and management of legal risk embedded within such contracts and real estate transactions. Work alongside Aon s global spend management and corporate real estate functions and other key stakeholders in providing effective legal and execution support. In addition, the Senior Counsel will from time to time be called upon to support mergers & acquisitions, capital markets transactions, internal reorganizations and other corporate law matters. Qualifications: JD Degree, licensed in the state of IL. 5+ years legal experience in complex commercial contracting with related transactional work at a law firm highly preferred. Experience counseling corporations on real estate lease and related matters. Team player with experience working with multiple cultures, viewpoints and priorities. Self-starter with demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple large-scale matters simultaneously, using creative and critical thinking and problem solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong internal motivation with commitment to delivering highest level of counsel with integrity.
