Assistant General Counsel, Corporate Transactions The candidate will maintain and oversee the company contract management system. Will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, negotiating and interpreting contracts. Will provides advice, conducts due diligence, and manages closing for company mergers and acquisitions; and drafts and maintains appropriate intercompany agreements for REIT compliance purposes. Will advise internal clients regarding the company's rights and obligations under existing contracts, manages related disputes and litigation and is the primary legal department liaison to the Real Estate and Strategic Development teams.

The candidate should be a graduate from an accredited college or university with a Juris Doctor degree and authorization to practice law in Tennessee. Five(5) years of contract or other transactional experience required. Strong analytical and negotiating skills as well as verbal and written communication skills are required. Ability to work in a team environment at a fast pace, multitask and prioritize. Knowledge of government procurements desirable, but not required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required. A valid driver's license is required.
