Litigation Counsel The candidate will assist with managing all aspects of litigation for firm, including professional/accountant s liability, regulatory matters, and labor and employment matters. Will select, manage, supervise and coordinate with outside counsel handling litigation for the Firm. With the assistance of outside counsel, supervise and coordinate all aspects of case assessment, discovery, substantive motions and briefing, trial preparation and settlement. Assist with complex or significant subpoenas related to professional services. Coordinate all aspects of regulatory and professional licensing board matters. Advise business leaders with respect to legal issues and risks on various matters including: tax, audit and consulting professional services, investment advisory services, employment matters, privacy matters, data protection, corporate merger/acquisition/transactional matters and various other legal matters. Assist and coordinate with risk management and other internal stakeholders in identifying risk areas and advising on process improvements, training and remediation. Evaluate and advise on laws and regulations relating to the Firm s business.
The candidate should have a Degree from a top national law school and/or top 5% of graduating law school class. Should be member of any State Bar in good standing. Must have 5-10 years of relevant law firm or in-house experience. Experience in all aspects of litigation essential. Experience with professional liability defense preferred. Experience with SEC, PCAOB, other regulatory agencies or state licensing agencies a plus.
