Privacy Attorney The candidate will assist with data privacy commercial agreements, GDPR preparedness and compliance. Provide support for commercial agreements dealing with data privacy issues. Provide proactive strategic leadership and guidance on privacy and data security issues across global legal and compliance teams to drive partnership, knowledge-sharing and efficiency. Advise on compliance and best practices across all aspects of global privacy and data protection law and regulation, including data use and sharing, analytics, data retention, data security and data breaches. Advise on potential business impact of proposed changes to U.S. and international privacy and data security laws and regulations. Review collection, use and transfers of user data and draft privacy policies and disclosures. Provide strategic expertise and partnership to the company s legal teams on a wide range of data protection and other global privacy matters. Provide strategic expertise and partnership to the company s commercial, advertising and employment legal teams on a wide range of data protection and other global privacy matters. Creatively build upon and drive awareness around privacy and data security issues, including developing and delivering training. Lead data incident response preparedness, including evolving and practicing the Company s data incident response plan. Must have a substantive understanding of GDPR and privacy issues. Should have experience with GDPR and privacy issues within a corporation. Must have strong project management experience and skills. Should have history of driving projects with many stakeholders to completion. Experience working within a legal department required. CIPP certification needed. Must have experience in drafting privacy policies and notices. Excellent computer skills (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Sharepoint) required. Should have 6+ years of experience, preferably in a corporate legal department, with substantial focus on commercial agreements, privacy and data security legal and compliance issues. Must have experience drafting commercial agreements related to privacy and data security. CIPP strongly preferred. Must have Juris Doctor or LLM from an accredited law school. Should be Licensed to practice law in the U.S.
