Corporate Junior Associate Attorney

Corporate Junior Associate Attorney Responsibilities: Provide support to business partners and hold them accountable in order to ensure contract obligations are met. Provide support regarding contract interpretation and guidance. Provide strategic and practical advice to internal clients regarding regulation, risk assessment and general corporate diligence. Provide support, as needed, for litigation matters. Work with other departments to develop better systems, communication and synergy. Demonstrate leadership skills with the ability to motivate team members. Draft and negotiate contracts with third parties (master service agreements, professional services agreements, NDAs, outsourcing agreements, technology services agreements, systems implementation agreements, hosting agreements, software as a service agreements) as well as a wide range of other routine and mission-critical contracts. Develop a general knowledge of the law typically encountered in respect of digital products and services, HIPAA, and data security.

Qualifications: JD Degree and bar membership in good standing in New Jersey; dual certification in New York is a bonus. 2+ years of consistent legal practice. 2+ years experience with transactional legal work. 2+ years of corporate legal work. Experience with HIPAA compliance and data security/privacy preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite is required. Must have a high degree of personal accountability. Must have a track record of taking initiative and problem-solving. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to thrive in a dynamic work environment and have a positive attitude. Must have strong organizational and time management skills, and must be able to balance numerous tasks and projects at the same time. Must be flexible and able to respond to challenges with creativity. Must demonstrate well-rounded business acumen, strong legal judgment, and a commitment to work ethic, while maintain a sense of humor. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with non-lawyers. Must demonstrate the ability to address business concerns and details in a legal framework. Ability to work proactively, independently and reliably under tight time frames in a fast-paced environment.
