Regulatory and Compliance Managing Counsel The candidate communicates key changes to regulatory codes at federal level or at ISO and state PUC level. Coordinates responses to ISO/RTO and PUC audits or investigations. Provide legal guidance related to regulatory framework at FERC and CFTC. Identifies existing and proposed rules and standards that may have an impact on the operations. Analyzes and helps prepare company filings/comments concerning on-going activities before FERC, including standards development, Protocols revision, and other regulatory activities that may affect the operations of the company. Coordinates responses to regulatory requests for information. Coordinates the preparation, submittal, and management of numerous filings, reports, investigations, and responses to requests for information. Manages company response to audits initiated by FERC reliability entities. Manages company response to investigations initiated by state PUCs or other agencies that regulate trading or generation activities. Bachelor s degree, JD degree, law license in Texas (or other state license and willingness to become licensed in Texas) is needed. Should preferably have 7+ years of regulatory and compliance experience, with in-house experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal is needed.
