Litigation Collections Attorney

Litigation Collections Attorney The candidate will prepare, file and litigate collection actions in state court on defaulted business loans. Will provide internal legal direction and support for recovery and collection law suits. Coordinate with national network of attorney s for use as resources or representation in other states for judgment enforcement. Review and analyze bankruptcy filings and make recommendations on how to best recover through the bankruptcy proceedings. Coordinate and direct post-judgment enforcement within the state of California. Prepare and respond to discovery and records subpoenas. Appear in court, attend depositions and mediations, and prepare cases for trial. JD degree from a nationally-recognized law school. Bar admission required in the state of California is needed. Should have 4-7 years of experience with some collection matters experience either in a law firm or in-house counsel setting. Bankruptcy experience, representing both secured and unsecured creditors, is preferred. Post-judgment enforcement experience is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
