Home Lending Litigation- Assistant General Counsel- VP

Home Lending Litigation- Assistant General Counsel- VP Duties: Supervising and directing outside counsel related to actual and potential litigation brought against Chase throughout the United States. Advise management on risks within the organization. Draft, review and revise pleadings, discovery responses and briefs. Communicate with outside counsel and internal clients regarding case status and negotiations. May supervise or provide advice to less senior members of the legal department. Qualifications: JD Degree or educational equivalent required. 5+ years as a Litigation Attorney. Must have 5+ years of experience practicing law post-JD Degree. Must be in compliance with all relevant licensing requirements including the requirements of the jurisdiction where the role will be located prior to commencement of employment. Must successfully complete a conflicts of interest clearance review prior to commencement of employment. Experience within the Mortgage or Home Lending business. Ability to prioritize work and effectively manage a large case load. Ability to interact effectively with senior management, customers, attorneys and outside vendors. Ability to identify key risk issues and exercise good business judgment. Ability to problem solve and think outside the box. Ability to complete large administrative component to position.
