Corporate Counsel Duties: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including procurement, warehousing and purchase and sale agreements while advising business leaders on risk and the legal implications of commercial transactions. Support the Assistant General Counsel with SEC reporting requirements, general corporate governance matters and management of corporate records. Support the Company s global compliance program, including the creation and enhancement of policies, managing online compliance training, conducting internal investigations and monitoring the Company s anti-bribery and anti-corruption programs and screening process. Collaborate with other departments, including accounting, finance, tax, treasury, investor relations, communications and HR. Demonstrate flexibility in performing other related duties as required and as the position evolves to support the legal needs of Minerals. Qualifications: JD Degree from an ABA-accredited law school with 3-8 years of legal practice and experience in commercial transactions and contract drafting, SEC reporting requirements and corporate compliance. Bar qualification in Kansas, or ability to become licensed to practice law in Kansas. Customer service attitude in assisting internal business clients and willingness to collaborate with business partners and other legal team members. Experience and skill at writing policies and guidance documents supporting various business activities Sound business judgment, clear communication skills and strategic thinking with a consultative approach. Flexibility, initiative and willingness to work hard and on a broad variety of legal matters. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure. Excellent interpersonal skills and team-oriented approach. Prior in-house experience helpful. Superior ability to interpret, synthesize, summarize and present information both verbally and written. Superior organizational skills. Computer competent with demonstrated ability in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, database and communication software applications within the Windows operating environment. Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external contacts to the organization. High level of analytical skills, judgment, and innovative ability.
