Litigation Counsel The candidate will be performing legal research and writing;. Will be developing deep knowledge of the business and actively monitoring anticipated litigation matters and activities that could give rise to litigation. Managing simple to complex litigation matters with outside counsel as assigned. Managing the discovery process, fact and evidence gathering. Participating in witness interviews and depositions. Reviewing and providing input on a range of pleadings such as protective orders, discovery related motions, motions to dismiss, etc. Conducting post action reviews with internal constituencies. Mapping litigation strategy. Notifying brokers and carriers, monitoring insurance coverage and liaising with risk management professionals. Performing other duties as assigned. Should have 5+ years of experience providing legal counsel to clients.sh 5+ years of recent, practical litigation or litigation management experience in a public, private or government sector with significant exposure to commercial matters, however, experienced corporate healthcare and healthcare IT attorneys would also be considered. Must also be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing with internal clients at all levels of the organization, outside counsel, and should be good at collecting, organizing and expressing facts. Experience prioritizing multiple, ongoing initiatives and efficiently re-prioritizes such responsibilities, as may be required is needed. Bachelor's degree and a JD degree is needed. Prior experience dealing with federal or state government officials, or in conducting sensitive investigations is a plus. Office 365 suite, Adobe, PowerPoint, and SharePoint skills are preferred.
