Employment Law Attorney The candidate will provide primary coverage for employment law issues arising out of Technology Division including advising on legal issues relating to hiring (including offer letters), discipline, termination, reductions-in-force, compensation, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblowing, overtime, leaves of absence, disability, requests for accommodation, diversity initiatives, workplace safety and workplace violence. Will manage employment related arbitrations, litigation and administrative matters (EEOC, NYDHR, DOL). Prepare and advise on workplace policies and procedures. Prepare and deliver workplace training. Assist in preparation of employment related aspects of RFPs. Assist group management with reporting and other special projects. Work collaboratively with other lawyers and staff and with other areas of the Firm, including Legal and Compliance, Risk, HR, Corporate Communications and the business units to respond appropriately to issues as the arise. Must have 5-7 years of experience advising on employment issues. Prior in-house and/or financial services experience is strongly preferred. Excellent judgment and interpersonal skill is essential.Strong oral and written communication skill is essential.
