Senior Counsel - Compliance The candidate will provide day-to-day legal advice and counsel on compliance-related issues as they arise across all businesses, including import/export and international trade compliance, antitrust, anticorruption, data protection, and privacy. Coordinate with the company s government affairs offices, government agencies, rulemaking bodies, and industry associations to advance the company s position on various compliance issues. Perform additional duties and responsibilities, as assigned, in support of the company s compliance and ethics program, including risk assessments, audits, internal investigations, and employee engagement. Should have Law degree from an ABA accredited law school. Must have admission to practice law in a state bar in Good Standing. Should have 5+ years experience in handling compliance-related issues. Should preferably have OEM manufacturing, business to business solutions, consumer electronics, avionics, automotive, electronics, software, telecommunications (especially satellite based), batteries, energy, and maintenance services industries experience. Import and export control compliance, including specific knowledge and understanding of the EAR and ITAR, and international trade compliance, including specific knowledge and understanding of compliance with the Trade Agreements Act and Buy American Act is a plus. Experience in government enforcement, court and/or administrative proceedings are beneficial. Experience with privacy, cybersecurity, audits of third parties, risk assessments, and internal investigations are beneficial. Experience developing communications to a multicultural employee base in support of the compliance and ethics programs is beneficial.
