Senior Privacy Counsel The candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the privacy agenda globally. Manage the day-to-day implementation of the company's global privacy guidelines and provide development guidance and assist in the identification, implementation, and maintenance of other information privacy policies, procedures and guidance where required to support the implementation of the Global Privacy Guidelines. Manage existing processes and help create new processes reflecting evolving legal requirements related to the collection and use of personal information, data subject complaints, data subject access requests, and personal data transfers. Perform information privacy risk assessments and conduct related ongoing compliance monitoring activities in coordination with company s other compliance and operational assessment functions. Participate in the development, implementation, and ongoing compliance monitoring of trading partner and business associate agreements, to ensure privacy concerns, requirements, and responsibilities are addressed. Initiate, facilitate and promote activities to foster information privacy awareness within the organization and to business associates, and other appropriate third parties. Provide practical expert advice on privacy issues related to complex business matters and key commercial contracts. Lead or direct various workstreams for privacy compliance globally. Maintain management information and report on data privacy incidents and complaints. Initiate, facilitate and promote activities to foster education and aware on privacy and data protection obligations and responsibilities throughout the company. Partner and collaborate with Enterprise Operations and Technology, Businesses and Legal colleagues to deliver privacy throughout the organisation. Keep abreast of developments in data privacy legislation and prepare communications for the business on key issues which may have an impact upon the company. Ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Effective manager with ability to develop and lead a collaborative global team.

The candidate should have a Law Degree. Minimum of 10 years experience or equivalent in dealing with data privacy legal and compliance issues in a commercial environment. Relevant qualifications such as CIPP/US, CIPP/EU, CIPM certifications desireable. Must be well-versed in and able to provide practical advice on matters involving European, US and APAC laws; wider knowledge of global data privacy laws is also highly desirable. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including demonstrable experience of advising executive level business partners and delivering face-to-face and webinar-based training. Proven experience of developing trusted relationships with business and functional stakeholder and influencing and negotiating across a matrix organization. The ability to work in a complex and developing environment with multiple priorities. Adaptability and ability to devise pragmatic solutions. Experience of leading and managing a small team of professionals. Must be able to travel periodically domestically and internationally to the UK and other jurisdictions.
