Senior Supervising Corporate Counsel

Senior Supervising Corporate Counsel The candidate will manage and handle complex litigation matters related to complex litigation, franchise issues, development agent and franchise agreements. Actively manage arbitration's and meditations. Facilitate orderly transition of non-compliant franchisees from the system. Responsible for drafting various settlement agreements, discovery requests, motions, briefs, petitions and other legal documents. Supervise, train and mentor paralegal and other support staff. Responsible for managing various aspect of discovery and pre-litigation. Select, manage and advise outside counsel on a variety of legal matters (ADA, Advertising, Complex Litigation, Domestication of Arbitration Awards and Evictions). Must have Bachelor's Degree in Business Law or related field. Admission to Connecticut Bar, ability to be admitted to the federal Bar is required. Should have 3 years of experience. Excellent research, writing, communication and presentation skills are mandatory. Knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act is preferred. Experience in mediation, arbitration, state and federal litigation is desired. Knowledge of franchising is helpful. Experience with case tracking software, EXCEL WESTLAW and PACER is an asset.
