Vice President, Corporate Counsel-US Duties: Provide counsel and advice to Customer Office and the businesses in its expanding global digital efforts. Will work in the following areas: data analytics, social media, mobile app, mobile device, e-delivery, Internet, cloud, and digital media as they apply to a global financial services company. Will also have an opportunity to provide legal support in connection with strategic cross-business initiatives. Will also be involved in the review of digital marketing matters, analysis of data analytics initiatives, application of AI, online terms and conditions, and social media and mobile platform terms and conditions. Will demonstrate a willingness to take the initiative to identify and address current and new legal and regulatory issues, communicate legal decisions and facilitate and make continuous legal review process improvements in a very dynamic and fast paced environment. Strong collaboration with peers in the Law Department, Compliance, Risk Management, and our business partners will be critical. The candidate must have a JD degree, admission to a state bar, and will need to obtain a New Jersey In-House Counsel License; 8+ years of experience in the required areas; An ability to collaborate with business teams, legal subject matter experts, and compliance and risk associates; Superior analytical skills; An ability to write and communicate clearly and simply; Strong leadership and teamwork skills; An ability to work in a fast-paced environment; Courage and confidence to speak up, challenge and advocate for a point of view; An ability to provide actionable, solutions-oriented advice to all levels of the business; Strong customer-service mindset; Intellectual curiosity; and Practical problem solving skills. Significant law firm or in-house legal experience in the above areas, including experience with the following laws and regulations: E-Sign, UETA, CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and GLBA. Have a curiosity and desire to learn about technologies or legal areas that you aren t familiar with and to understand the mission, goals, and objectives of various businesses.
