Senior Counsel, Director of Employment Law and HR Compliance The candidate will build and enhance our proven security platform. Blend innovation and speed in a constantly evolving cloud architecture. Analyze new threats and offer deep insight through data-driven intel. Collaborate with customers to help solve their toughest security challenges. Providing primary legal support for employment law and HR compliance, including advice and counsel regarding implementing the company s HR and legal strategy regarding recruiting/staffing, pay and benefits, business support, learning and development, employee relations, onboarding and terminations, and administrative claims and litigation, and associated support of HR Legal matters on corporate transactions. Serving as primary legal support for miscellaneous business dispute and compliance matters that may be reported, including working with other legal executives to drive investigations, manage outside counsel and drive implementation of legal advice in the organization. Driving development and implementation of various HR and legal templates, forms, communications and operational systems to improve the delivery and scalability of HR and legal resources to a worldwide, distributed client base, including HR and legal team members. Offering legal analyses of applicable laws, regulations and industry guidance that impact recruiting/staffing, pay and benefits, onboarding and termination, and other consulting/alternative work force and employment practices, and drive the design and implementation of appropriate policies and processes to ensure compliance. Proactively communicating issues back to management and driving good business, legal and operational processes throughout the organization; drafting and implementing related policies; traveling as requested. Should have deep experience educating, advising, counseling and operationalizing a broad range of legal issues for in-house counsel, especially with respect to labor and employment laws and tech industry best practices in the US and major international jurisdictions (primarily Europe). Must have solid management experience. Highest degree of personal and professional integrity and ethics is needed. 12+ years experience as an attorney, with previous in-house experience preferred. Law firm (AMLAW 200 or equivalent) experience preferred, especially in employment law and compliance. Should have excellent academic performance. Must be member in good standing of California state Bar.
