Associate Counsel/Sr. Associate Counsel Health & Wellness Compliance The candidate will provide advice and counsel to Health & Wellness and Corporate Compliance management in connection with third party payor contract issues, third party billing and reimbursement, compliance matters, and third party payor relationships, including Government Program enrollment and participation, for pharmacy, clinics, optical and other Health & Wellness businesses. Duties include review and revision of third party payor contractors.

The candidate should have a Law degree from an accredited law school. License to practice law in at least one state. 7 years legal experience post-degree. Experience working as a lawyer in a corporate legal department or law firm preferred. Experience in healthcare law, compliance and transactions desired. Must have experience in healthcare transactions, payor audits, regulatory compliance and government actions. Must have drafting and negotiating experience, billing and reimbursement experience, knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare and other Government Programs laws, regulations and policies, knowledge of Fraud and Abuse, Stark, and Anti-Kickback laws and regulations, internal and government investigations, healthcare licensing, enrollment and participation standards and requirements, and exposure to regulatory actions involving State Medicaid Agencies and HHS OIG. Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics. Develops and fosters relationships as business partners with client. Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals. Directs legal support for business transactions and projects involving risk. Identifies, assesses and manages risk to the company. Manages financial resources and processes. Provides legal advice to the company.
