Senior Employment Counsel Responsibilities: Assist in developing an elite employment law practice and provide day-to-day proactive employment law advice, assistance and counseling. Partner and work collaboratively and responsively with, and facilitate a coordinated and productive team approach among, the Legal, People Success, Finance, Corp Tech, and Operations departments. Lead internal employment-related investigations (including documenting and communicating findings to relevant partners). Assist with creating and continuously expanding and improving Club s employment library, including handbooks, offer letters, employment agreements and related documents. Help develop strategic initiatives and processes that advance and scale Club s business, including leading employment related training programs. Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Track and report on developments in employment laws. Direct and oversee employment litigation matters, as required, including managing outside counsel and associated budgets. Analyze and support Club s employment related SEC disclosures. Leading employment law aspects of mergers & acquisitions and multi-jurisdictional projects as required.

Requirements: Law degree from a premier law school and be in good standing to practice in the State of California. 8+ years of legal experience with a focus on employment law. A combination of both in-house and law firm practice experience is desired. Multi-State experience is a plus. Expertise in partnering with and counseling business teams on a variety of employment issues, including California employment law, wage and hour laws and leave and disability issues. Significant experience in conducting and/or overseeing employment-related investigations. Prior experience working at or with technology companies is desired. Ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision. High tolerance for ambiguity while working in an extremely fast-paced environment in a cutting-edge industry. Strong attention to detail and an ability to prioritize and advance multiple projects concurrently. Ability to express thoughts in a clear and concise manner while demonstrating tact and discretion in sensitive situations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills in addition to excellent interpersonal, negotiating, writing, speaking, and analytical skills. Excellent judgment and an ability to assess, evaluate and advise on legal risks. Ability to build trust within a complex business environment and across multiple departments. Willingness to learn a variety of new skills and broaden current functional expertise. Team-oriented, collegial and a sense of humor.
