Senior Counsel, Compliance The candidate will work directly with firm's Director II, Global Compliance, to execute an effective compliance program, including providing employees with clear policies and procedures. Will take primary responsibility for the day-to-day administration of firm's global employee whistleblower helpline, including managing intake and assignment of matters, monitoring case aging and closure, and aggregating helpline data for reporting obligations. Lead the Compliance teams conflict of interest program, including intake, review and resolution of employee and third party potential conflicts of interest. Work with cross-functional team to perform anti-corruption due diligence on relevant business partners, and, where applicable, take steps to remediate compliance risks. Review, assess and respond to requests by employees to give or receive business courtesies. Provide effective and practical compliance counseling and advice in the areas of anti-corruption, conflicts of interest, competitive intelligence and other areas of business conduct. Identify compliance risks and successfully drive remediation efforts. Collaborate with other leaders on cross-functional initiatives. Help innovate firms Compliance program by leveraging firm's talent and resources to develop cutting edge Compliance solutions. The candidate must have 8+ years of experience in private practice, government service, and/or in-house roles. Technology and international experience strongly preferred. Experience in a regulated industry is helpful. Must have Law degree from an accredited institution and membership in good standing in at least one state Bar. Must have substantial experience with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and comparable anti-corruption laws and regulations; international competition laws and regulations; global data privacy laws; and familiarity with political contribution and government pay to play rules. Must have experience counseling business leaders to navigate Compliance risks. Must have familiarity with the global framework affecting the technology industry, such as international laws governing technology, interactions with government institutions and government officials, antitrust and competition issues. Fluency in English is required (secondary language skills are highly preferred).
