Counsel Employment Law Duties: Provides expertise and thought leadership in support of HR compliance and employee relations issues and initiatives. Advise and counsel people managers, senior leaders and the global HR community on matters of employment law and HR compliance; educate and train people managers on employee relations matters; lead and liaise as necessary with outside counsel on employee relations investigations and EEOC claims; corrective action escalations; workplace conduct; policy development; restructuring and mergers and acquisitions; compliance with respect to HR records management and with U.S. laws and regulations applicable to the HR function. Provides legal guidance and expertise on HR programs, policies, and practices; assists the business and Risk organization in managing compliance with U.S. laws and regulations as they relate to the HR function including OFCCP Federal Contractor compliance; and managing efforts of external legal counsel, as needed. Advises staff on legal risks with respect to employment and compliance matters. Identifies, develops and facilitates training to people managers, non-management employees, and members of the HR department on critical issues and topics including: Harassment, discrimination, ADA, performance management/corrective action, hiring, affirmative action, investigations, coaching, conflict resolution, employee communication/engagement, policy interpretation, employment law, HIPPA, FMLA, diversity, ethics, etc. Performs disparate impact analysis and prepares notifications relative to ADEA/OWBPA and WARN Act. Coordinates/liaises with regional human resources team members and outside counsel in matters of regional/local employment legislation and regulations. Coordinates response for subpoenas, occupational employment statistics, RFP requests, and audit remediation. Provides day to day counsel on a range of human resources and employment law matters including, but not limited to, harassment, discrimination, leaves of absences (FMLA, workers compensation), workplace conduct, performance management, coaching and communication. Advises on and mitigates risk to the organization addressing a variety of complex and sensitive employment related matters. Understand and Adhere to all Corporate Policies to include ACI Code of Ethics and Global Information Security.

Qualifications: JD Degree from an accredited law school. Licensed to practice law in Nebraska. 5 years' progressive experience practicing law as in-house counsel or in a law firm. Preferred Skills: Comprehensive business knowledge in specific HR functions related to U.S. affirmative action, OFCCP Federal Contractor compliance, recruitment, legal, regulatory and compliance requirements. Understanding of HR principles, policies, practices, and compliance requirements. Strong organizational, analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills, and ability to recommend solutions considering compliance, business needs, and risk. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with HR partners, executive and business leaders, legal operations, and other key stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Ability to manage and direct the work of others providing support to these programs. Ability to work efficiently and independently under tight deadlines and pressure. Excellent oral and written communications skills and interpersonal skills.
