Senior Counsel, Patent Litigation

Senior Counsel, Patent Litigation Candidate will : Manage all aspects of US-based patent litigation, often in partnership with IP Legal Team. Collaborate with the IP Legal Team to address pre-litigation assertions of patent infringement and other IP threats and demands. Manage a diverse range of other US-based litigation matters, in a multitude of practice areas (e.g., class actions and contract disputes) at various procedural stages from filing to appeal. Take a hands-on approach to all facets of litigation, including responding to discovery requests, drafting and revising legal briefs, preparing witnesses for testimony at depositions and in court, preparing for and attending trial and negotiating and drafting settlements. Efficiently resolve lawsuits and pre-litigation disputes. Collaborate frequently with Legal management and business clients to develop litigation strategy and ensure goal alignment across various business teams. Engage and manage outside counsel, including strategic and substantive oversight, staffing, fee arrangements and invoices, budget compliance and adherence to outside counsel guidelines. Work collaboratively with Policy and Communications team on litigation-related media strategies. Evaluate case-related press releases, often on a deadline in response to recent events, to ensure factual accuracy and compliance with applicable laws. Collaborate with litigation paralegals to handle demand letter responses and small claims matters. Identify, review, analyze and mitigate legal risks. Must have 8+ Years of Experience with patent litigation.
