Payments Privacy Senior Counsel

Payments Privacy Senior Counsel Duties: Will be the primary privacy advisor on all global payments privacy matters, especially related to payments, payment intermediation and payments license applications. Will serve as the primary privacy advisor to the legal and business teams in these areas and will directly interface with the applicable legal and business team responsible for general legal compliance of products involving personal information. Provide risk-based review of our global payments initiative, especially in US and EU, for any applicable regulatory or legal privacy risks, and advise on appropriate mitigation controls, risk mitigation and compliance strategies. Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) on relevant products, services involving collection, processing and disclosure of personal payments information. Assist legal and business/product organizations in the development and implementation of a formal privacy compliance review process for any payments related businesses/products. Coordinate with regional and functional privacy heads on any payments related businesses/products that have an effect/impact on privacy in that region/function. Establish a communication and engagement strategy with applicable regulators in the respective regions.

Requirements: JD Degree or equivalent, 6-8 years of work experience. Certified International Privacy Professional (CIPP/US). Experience in advising on payments privacy matters. Experience in giving global privacy advice. Deep experience in and knowledge of important global privacy laws, including but not limited to US privacy laws, EU GDPR as well as banking secrecy requirements in US and EU. Specific experience with payments, payment intermediation and payments license applications. Additional privacy certifications (CIPP/E, CIPP/M or CIPP/T) would be an optional benefit.
