In-House Litigation Attorney The candidate will lead the defense of AXA Equitable in a wide-range of complex litigation, arbitration, and regulatory matters by: Working closely with business partners on strategy and assessing risk. Investigating facts, developing litigation strategy, identifying and preparing fact and expert witnesses, and preparing submissions to courts, arbitration panels and regulators. Interviewing, selecting, and closely managing outside counsel. Representing the Litigation Group to give advice, evaluate proposed business initiatives, and re-examine existing policies and procedures. JD, Bar admission in any state is required. Must have 8-12 years of related experience within the litigation group of a top law firm or corporation. Experience with complex litigation, preferably with litigating class actions, actions under state insurance laws, state and federal securities and employment laws, and large-scale arbitrations is required. Active trial or arbitration experience preferred. Experience in conducting regulatory and internal investigations preferred. Knowledge of insurance, securities, and broker-dealer law preferred.
