Labor and Employment Attorney The candidate will ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies. Will participate in and influence the decision-making process with appropriate clients and partners. Identify and assess legal risks and opportunities within the labor and employment area and advises accordingly. Independently handles legal matters and projects ranging from basic to complex. Recognize when the advice of more senior counsel or outside counsel is appropriate. Under the supervision of a more senior counsel, handles or participates in the handling of complex legal matters or projects, including managing outside counsel on employment litigation. Ensure that the appropriate clients and stakeholders are involved in the decision-making process and educate clients and stakeholders on legal matters, policies and procedures. Develops policies and procedures within a defined practice area and/or specific geographic area. Advocates McDonald's interests in assigned matters. Supervise, lead, and evaluate outside counsel as appropriate. Supervise and/or provide direction to administrative, paralegal, and other support staff. Establish and manage relationships, credibility, and trust with clients, stakeholders, legal team members and other colleagues. Must have Juris Doctorate degree. 3-5 years of labor and employment experience required. Must have experience handling of labor and employment matters before federal, state courts and administrative agencies and experience in counseling clients on labor and employment matters. Strong written and communication skill is required.
