Assistant Corporate Counsel

Assistant Corporate Counsel Duties: Review and negotiate construction agreements; prepare redlines based on Companys risk profile. Conduct risk analysis related to contract provisions. Assist estimating teams with project proposals. Work with project teams to issue notices and provide project-related correspondence. Manage subcontract and purchase order agreements. Review insurance and bonding to ensure compliance with contract and Company requirements. Maintain and improve Company-issued agreement templates. Conduct training on legal lessons learned. Represent Companys interests in claims and disputes - see to resolution in coordination with outside counsel as needed. Provide daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually reporting as required by supervisor. Other items as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: JD Degree from an ABA accredited school and admission to at least one state Bar. 1-3 years experience as counsel within a law firms corporate/business/construction practice group or in-house legal department within the construction industry. Take reasonable care of your own and others health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Wanzeks Zero Injury principles. Significant experience working with corporate insurance policies. Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel). Familiarity working within Share Point. Strong organizational skills, initiative and meticulous attention to details. Ability to handle confidential information and communications in a secure and professional manner. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to work well within a team. Ability to deal with multiple assignments, to prioritize, and to progress assignments without constant oversight.
