Counsel, Corporate Real Estate and Procurement The candidate will provide business savvy legal support to technology procurement and real estate issues across the company. Will serve as a trusted partner regarding technology transactions, including in connection with the development of products, platforms, services and other strategic technology initiatives. Be the main point of contact for global real estate transactions. Report to the Vice President and Head of Technology, IP, Vendor Oversight and Real Estate. Negotiate and draft agreements related to company's global real estate needs, involving offices in 50+ countries. Collaborate with the business and other stakeholders in negotiating and drafting strategic technology vendor and outsourcing agreements as well as participate in designing, implementing and overseeing a global technology vendor management program. Research and analyse law on complex issues and help to develop organizational policies. Participate on internal consumer protection and risk committees as well as stay current and advise on changes to the regulatory and competitive environments globally. The candidate should have a law degree from ABA-accredited school with practice in at least one US state. Must have 6-9 years of experience, most of it in a corporate legal department of a multinational corporation, with emphasis on real estate and/or technology procurement issues. Experience in dealing directly with business clients at all levels, and specifically counseling senior business clients on high stakes issues, is also helpful as well as experience in negotiating contracts in diverse cultures. Should also have the willingness to question the status quo and advocate for necessary change to improve internal processes. Must be obsessed with high-value and high-quality work product delivery and has knowledge of competitive offerings and activities and understand external business intelligence.
