Labor & Employment Counsel Duties: Advising on all global employment law-related matters, including strategic Human Resources initiatives, employee relations, benefits, compensation, equity, diversity & inclusion, labor-management relations, wrongful termination, discrimination, disability accommodations, wage-hour, compliance with local laws and ordinances. Drafting employment contracts, severance agreements and other employment-related documents. Updating corporate Human Resources policies and related materials to remain consistent with current legal requirements. Developing, implementing and managing employment legal compliance initiatives in partnership with the Human Resources department. Working with Human Resources to develop and deliver relevant training, as appropriate. Assisting with the employment law-related matters associated with engaging employees in new international markets as Match Group rapidly expands its international presence, particularly in the APAC region. Working with in-house and outside litigation counsel on federal, state and international litigation, administrative proceedings and arbitrations involving employment law matters, and internal investigations of employment complaints, ensuring claims are addressed promptly, thoroughly and appropriately. Providing employment law expertise and support for M&A transactions and divestitures. Partnering with global team of lawyers who operate on a regional basis to provide the foregoing services to all lines of businesses. Qualifications: JD Degree and membership in good standing in at least one state Bar. 7+ years experience, including with a top law firm and/or a fast-paced, in-house legal environment; experience in a multi-national legal department a plus. Prior employment law experience required. A financial services background is likewise a plus. Quick learner and innovative thinker comfortable with working in an entrepreneurial environment who is capable of assessing and communicating risk within the context of business-driven goals. Ability to work on a wide range of complex matters with minimal supervision. Track record of establishing strong working relationships with internal/external business clients and within the legal department/law firm.
