Corporate Counsel Duties: Review, draft and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements for all internal functions, including operations/supply chain, sales, marketing, IT and finance departments. Support continuous improvement of standard contract templates and legal processes. Counsel internal functions regarding company policies, legal issues, and risk tolerance. Become a trusted business partner, providing timely, thoughtful and helpful advice to requests from internal functions. Counsel business on compliance issues and drive execution of corporate compliance and risk initiatives and programs. Conduct training on legal, compliance and other policies.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from four-year college in related fields required; JD Degree from an accredited law school required. Admission to the Colorado Bar required. 4+ years of experience. In-house/corporate counsel experience preferred. Experience negotiating and drafting supply, manufacturing, vendor, co-development, SaaS, and other agreements. Significant experience in commercial matters; in the consumer products (food related) industry, preferred. Knowledge of a broad range of corporate and business laws including commercial matters, privacy, marketing and consumer laws, intellectual property, etc. Strong drafting, negotiating and writing skills, as well as the ability to problem solve in an efficient, business-friendly, creative manner. An excellent work ethic, commitment to professionalism and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills with all levels of co-workers and external partners. Ability to think enterprise-wide and identify and analyze complex issues and devise creative solutions and strategies. Ability to take ownership of projects and think proactively. Ability to handle a high volume of work and work through projects independently; prioritize workload efficiently and effectively. Willing to be hands on and willing to jump in and assist at all levels.
