Litigation Counsel The candidate will be Investigating legal issues and interpreting/advising on laws and regulations involving varied substantive legal areas, including real estate brokerage, property management, contracts, regulatory compliance at the federal, state and local levels and licensing. Representing the company and affiliated real estate agents in litigation, arbitration, mediation and regulatory proceedings.Providing risk-management training and continuing education. Acting as the lead trial counsel for all litigation matters in Cook, DuPage and Kane County IL on behalf of the Company and its affiliated agents. Should have 5+ years legal experience required, preferably either with similar in-house legal experience or law firm experience. Membership in the Illinois Bar; membership in other state bars identified above will be a positive consideration. Significant jury trial experience at either the state and/or federal level required.The preferred candidate will have experience with and knowledge of real estate brokerage licensing statutes and regulations.
