Privacy Staff Attorney

Privacy Staff Attorney Duties: Assist in the continued organization and coordination of organizational privacy processes and efforts (US and global). Assist in the continued development and maintenance of a comprehensive privacy program which minimizes risk and maintains the confidentiality of personally identifiable information of consumers and employees and other applicable company data. Work with Cybersecurity to ensure continuous alignment between Cybersecurity and privacy compliance programs (including policies, practices and investigations). Coordinate with Cybersecurity, Compliance, IT, Purchasing and other business functions to embed privacy related requirements within new and existing processes, projects and systems. Monitor federal, state and country specific privacy laws and requirements to ensure compliance. Ensure privacy requirements are properly captured and maintained within the servicing system. Process and decision Initial Assessments submitted through the Privacy portal. Assist in developing and/or maintaining privacy related policies procedures, awareness and training. Work with Cybersecurity to formalize and maintain a data classification matrix. Coordinate with Cybersecurity to maintain a robust security incident response program. Assist in managing customer privacy notice revisions and processes. Perform other duties as assigned. Conform with all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications: Master s Degree or JD Degree from a US accredited law school and licensed to practice law in at least one state required. 2-4 years legal experience in a corporation or law firm, or related experience required. Knowledge US Privacy laws, with focus on financial institution data, Applicable global privacy laws. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret statutes, regulations, and industry guidance. Excellent communication skills including ability to express facts and ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Analytical ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work with all levels of the company. Ability to use Microsoft office applications software.
