Employment Attorney The candidate will provide legal advice, counsel and service to internal business clients concerning legal rights, obligations, and privileges of corporations. Will draw up contracts involving leases, licenses, purchases, sales, real estate, employment, insurance, mergers, acquisitions and related matters. Keeps current on legislative issues, statutes, decisions and ordinances of quasi-judicial bodies. Examines legal data to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuit. Acts as agent of corporation in various transactions. Advises company regarding concerns for risk assessment. Must have admission to practice law. May develop, review, or implement company-wide and/or functionally specific training programs. May also oversee corporate governance matters and its various committees. May work with outside counsel to direct activities. Responsible for management of outside counsel on employment litigation and for providing practical and strategic advice and training to managers, HR professionals and other internal customers on all aspects of employment and labor law, including but not limited to discrimination, international L & E, wage and hour, privacy, ADA/FMLA.

The candidate should have Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree. Must have 5+ years of employment law experience. Knowledge and ability to provide prompt, practical counsel on all aspects of US and International employment law is required. Proven track record of successful litigation management and dispute resolution; trial experience highly valued is required. Must have strong litigation and investigations background. rior in-house employment counsel experience in the technology sector a plus. Previous In house legal experience is desired. Human Resources experience is plus. Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model is plus.
